Session Summary

The party infiltrated Chainspire Tower, slew the necromancer Ruza, and freed Vista, ending Gorvakutha’s reign of torment. Afterward, their group splintered — some seeking vengeance, others redemption — as they set course toward Craghawk’s Respite and Callum’s Port. Their path now winds through coastlines haunted by sea hags and the lingering debts of the Dark Daggers, with destiny closing in from every shore.

Recap

The Perfect Plan

Inside Gorvathcha, the party devised an elaborate plan to infiltrate the slaver stronghold, rescue Viola, and spark a rebellion during the Festival of Chains. With Scallius and Artenia aiding from within, they plotted to forge documents, infiltrate the Chainspire Tower, and lead the Song of Freedom uprising to free the enslaved. Their mission balanced cunning, chaos, and hope in a city built on chains.

AI Summary

After meeting Scallius in the oppressive city of Gorvakutha, the party began coordinating the rescue of Viola, Thorin’s daughter, who was imprisoned within Chainspire Tower. Scallius enlisted the help of Artalka, a Harper agent skilled in curse-breaking, and together they devised an infiltration plan. Battling through undead guardians and slavers, the party confronted and slew the necromancer Ruza, freeing both Viola and Zaryrok before escaping through mine tunnels that led them into the hills beyond the city.

That night, as the group camped beneath the stars, they each experienced haunting and symbolic dreams, hinting at deeper powers and looming destinies. In the aftermath, Viola and Thorin chose to part ways, with Viola returning to aid the ongoing slave revolt in Arkalka. The group learned that Rashmak Skullhunter, the orc responsible for Thorin’s family’s deaths, was seen near Craghawk’s Respite, marking their next objective.

Artalka remained behind to gather intelligence on the Harpers, while Scallius handed Grunkthor a sealed note, reminding them of their debt to the Dark Daggers. Grolgrath, now burdened with resolve, departed to challenge his former Bloodfang Tribe leader and reclaim his honor as chieftain. The remaining party planned their return to the ship by following the coast toward Craghawk’s Respite, learning of the Gwalduhr Towers, the source of the Three Sea Hags’ power, and setting course for Callum’s Port in Calimshan — their next step in a journey shadowed by prophecy and vengeance.

Log

We met with Scallius in Gorvakutha to discuss plans for freeing Viola. Scallius left to retrieve Artalka, an agent of the Harpers who could help us. She specializes in breaking curses, and together we devised a plan to infiltrate Chainspire Tower, where Ruza and Zaryrok were holding Viola captive.

After fighting our way through the tower, we defeated the necromancer Ruza, slaying him and freeing both Viola and Zaryrok. We escaped through a network of mine tunnels beneath the city, emerging into the hills outside Gorvakutha. That night, as we camped under the stars, we each experienced strange and vivid dreams.

After the Battle

In the aftermath, Viola and Thorin left the group. Viola said she intended to return to Arkalka and help continue the slave revolt. During this time, we learned that Rashmak Skullhunter, the orc who killed Thorin’s wife and son, was last seen near Craghawk’s Respite.

Arkalka remained behind to gather more information on the Harpers, while Scallius handed Grunkthor a sealed note, saying that he would be in touch — and that we still owed him a debt.

Grograh departed to challenge his old Bloodfang leader and claim his place as the new chieftain.

The Journey Ahead

We began discussing how to return to our ship. The group decided to travel along the coast to reach Craghawk’s Respite. Along the way, we learned that Gwalduhr Towers are the source of the Three Sea Hags’ power.

While resting, we encountered Grunka, who mentioned a port called Callum’s Port in Callumsham — our next destination.
