Torrain, the Tideborn Sage
Torrain is a powerful tide-born druid and Keeper of the Western Tide. Water flows upward through his offshore Tower of the Western Tide, where he has guarded part of Ofie's family legacy for nearly two centuries.

Traits: Patient, observant, and ceremonial.
Ideals: Natural balance must be understood rather than forced.
Bonds: The other elemental druids, Ofie's family, and Kalin.

Notes
Torrain designed or maintained three trials within his tower that required visitors to understand predation, renewal, sacrifice, and the protection of life without trying to dominate nature.

- 033 02-13-2026 — Named in an intercepted letter from Sylphine, the Whispering Gale as one of the four druids who assembled at the Crossroads of the Four Pillars. He arrived for the meeting alongside Sylphine and Emberis, Keeper of the Eternal Flame, but Zorath the Veilbinder never appeared and was later confirmed dead.
- 041 07-17-2026 — Received the Scorned Eight after they completed the natural-balance trials of the Tower of the Western Tide. He reunited Kaneko with the missing Kalin, saying “blood remembers,” then recognized Ofie as “Princess, daughter of Branvar” and entrusted her with her family's third fragment of the Map to Lebor Gabala.
