Notes
The forest is reached by passing through a veil in the land, traveling to a large pool, and turning northeast. Visitors were warned to beware its monsters, its animals, and the forest itself.
Winterglen is ancient, impossibly tall, heavy with moisture, and almost entirely without birdsong. Its paths shift and erase maps or trail markings. Visitors seeking the Circle of the First Root must pass a living maze of animal monuments whose lessons concern belonging, wisdom, perspective, sacrifice, and protection.
Solving the maze opens the First Root's grove, where Maeliss Oak-Mother, Brannock Bear-Walker, Sister Roann, and Elder Finn Mosscloak welcomed the Scorned Eight in 041 07-17-2026. The forest reaches a coast near the Tower of the Western Tide.
