# Tower of the Western Tide
An offshore lighthouse-like tower occupied by Torrain, the Tideborn Sage, Keeper of the Western Tide. It rises from a narrow sea stack off the coast of Winterglen Forest. Water spirals around its foundation and flows upward through the tower, while a blue-green beacon pulses at its summit.
The name “Tower of the Western Tide” is descriptive; the party did not learn a formal name for the structure in 041 07-17-2026.

Trials
The tower tested whether visitors understood natural balance:
- Feed and free a starving wolf without sacrificing five trapped deer.
- Protect animals escaping a forest fire while allowing the fire's cycle of destruction and renewal to continue.
- Accept that starving wolves must kill a white stag to feed their pups.
Notes
At the summit, Torrain guarded the missing Kalin and the third fragment of the Map to Lebor Gabala.
